Yeasayer

I photographed Yeasayer this weekend at their sold out show at the
Vega in Copenhagen. This was for a day in the life project, although
it wasn't really a full day. The band was really cool and they put on
an awesome show. The first few photos are what I turned in for the
project; the rest are some of my other favorites.
*** The opening act Hush Hush was amazing! Click on the photos to see

Day in the life...

Last week I had an assignment to spend the day with a Danish family.
Being sick and unable to speak Danish, this task proved to be far more
difficult than I'd expected. I tried several times to to approach
mothers with their children in the mall, outside the grocery store, at
the bus stop and outside their children's schools. No luck. After
weighing my options: shaving, waiting till I didn't appear feverish,
and looking for American families, I decided to email all of my Danish
friends hoping for a reference instead. It worked. Andreas, one of my
co-workers at the Friday Bar at school, set me up with his brother,
Christian. Christian lives with his wife, Christina, their five year
old daughter, Line, and one and a half year old son, Frederik, in a
small town outside of Aarhus called Hørning. I made the trek out there
Thursday afternoon. Christina picked me up at the bus stop and
took me to get Line from kindergarten. The family surprised me with
how open and friendly they were and it really helped the photos. I
stayed the night at their house and rode the bus back to Aarhus the
following morning with Christian. The first five photos are the ones
that I turned in for the assignment and the rest are the runners up.
